about

For their fourth opus, Mintaka decided to abandon the elaborate, epic-oriented direction they had followed on their previous two albums, in favor of a return to the style of A Great Day For Bosko Sticks. However, before going into the studio, the band discovered a synthesizer called Apples and Oranges Bathtub Express Chimney Pod, and the experiments with this piece of equipment influenced their new direction.

One guy thought this album was cool but everyone else was at a party so they didn't hear it. As such, many critics and the band themselves consider War Potatoes to be the most underrated Mintaka album. Pewick, Meyers and Peabody expressed their rage about this by killing some guy, which Pewick then detailed in his song, "I Killed Somebody".
